Stop it.

Someone explain to me why the media is already on a feeding frenzy re: Obama's first 15 minutes in office? The bill hasn't even been signed yet, and already the buzz is salivating for it's failure and driving down the Dow in the meantime! Are people TRYING to cause crisis? It's like failure is so much more interesting than success that we have to try desperately to literally make it happen.

I do love watching him navigate these waters, though. He never does what they predict. He just keeps on being real and being reasonable.

Today, on CSPAN the government took a break from the debates over the bill. On the screen it read "Session in Recess for President's Day Break." On another live channel, Obama was in Florida at a "Town Meeting" addressing the crowd regarding layoffs and spelling out in plain English what was going to be in the bill for them.

Oh, okay. He forced you guys to take a break from the posturing and fighting so he could go get some real work done. Why didn't you just say so?

It's no wonder his approval rating is still far far higher than congress.

I just loved it during his address the other night when a reporter implied that he was not being as bipartisan as he had promised. Prez Obama was direct about the opposition he is getting from the Republicans when he attempts to reach out to them. His promise to be transparent will not just be extended to his own actions. Looks like he's going to call people out on their bullshit.

God, it's just so nice to see someone really do what they promise and mean what they say.
